The Dorset Action for Rural Transport - DART
The Dorset Action for Rural Transport Partnership aims to help people of any age who are unable to access education, jobs, leisure and other services due to a lack of transport within rural Dorset.

DART is county wide and runs a variety of projects:
Blackmore Vale Scooter Scheme
- provides scooters in the north of the county for people aged 16-25 years old.  (There are plans to expand this into the west and south of the county.)
Purbeck Leisure Bus
- a weekly evening bus running from Swanage and outlying villages to Wareham Leisure Centre.  (This will soon link to Online@Wareham with plans to link to evening classes at Purbeck School.)
Individual small grants
to help finance for example driving lessons, bus/rail passes, are available to 16-25 year old or older if you are on New Deal.  NB. Limited to people living in rural Dorset.
Grants for community groups
are also available eg. the Morden Leisure Bus.

For more information on DART or any of their schemes please contact the DART Partnership Officer on 01305 216414 or alternatively email george.whalley@dorsetcommunityaction.org.uk
